About Us

RMI Love Animals (Iakwe Menin Mour) LLC was founded by a group of Majuro residents who were alarmed and concerned about the dog and cat population boom during the COVID pandemic, when the country’s borders were closed.

The registered NGO follows a One Health approach, advocates for humane population control of animals and organizes regular spay and neuter missions together with the Mission Aloha Foundation.

The Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) is a Micronesian atoll nation situated in the North Pacific. Located 7 degrees north of the equator, west of the international date line, and midway between Australia and Hawaii, the Marshall Islands is considered to be one of the most remote inhabited Pacific Island countries.

RMI Love Animals is headquartered in Majuro, the capital of the Marshall Islands. Approximately 40 miles long and just 300 yards wide (9.13kms sq).

The Marshall Islands’ atolls and islands are a fragile environment made of carbonate sediments. With an average elevation of 1 – 2 meters, the nation is facing an existential threat from sea level rise due to climate change. Its fragile environment is vulnerable to natural and human-induced hazards.
